In alignment with the Saudi Vision 2030 and in pursuit of achieving it through the Doyof Al Rahman National Program, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah today announced on Twitter a special Comprehensive Insurance Coverage for pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

As of January 22, 2023, this insurance product is one of the initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of the provided services to pilgrims by allocating this comprehensive insurance coverage for emergency cases to compensate the beneficiaries under these covered cases and to find fair solutions and immediate procedures in case of the occurrence of any covered incident.

Umrah insurance product includes (Medical Emergencies & General Accidents) Coverage under certain conditions.

Tawuniya has been honored to provide this service to the Pilgrims of the Holy Mosque in cooperation with the participating insurance companies in the KSA by launching a joint insurance pool managed by Tawuniya (Product ID: A-TAWU-2-I-20-066).

Why Umrah Insurance for foreign pilgrims?

It provides safety and peace of mind during the holy journey in the kingdom.

It provides the necessary health care.

It bears the burdens resulting from flight disruption, including accommodation and meal costs.

It bears the medical & quarantine expenses in the event of infection with the emerging Corona Virus.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency on July 11, 2022, the Minister of Health said that “in light of the great support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, I am pleased to announce the success of Hajj health plans for this year 1443 H.”

“This successful Hajj season is … a reflection of the integration among all government sectors and early preparation.”

For Hajj season 2023 and Umrah, pilgrims must be vaccinated to obtain an entry visa from the KSA. These vaccines are listed at Vax-Before-Travel.com/Hajj.
