Donald Hackett

Don Hackett entered the news industry in 1967, selling the Philadelphia Enquirer in Ardmore, PA, and currently serves as the publisher for Vax-Before-Travel. Since 1989, Don has launched several digital health companies (drKoop.com, Mirixa, Digital Pharmacists, etc.) focused on healthcare workflows, medication & vaccine information management. In the 1990s, Don also helped launch the first pharmaceutical-sponsored digital advertising network, facilitated doctor-to-pharmacy prescription transactions, filed patents for online clinical trial recruitment and drug interaction databases, and contributed to the development of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
