Illinious-based United Airlines Inc. updated website says, 'We're looking forward to the year ahead and making changes to help you qualify for Premier status through 2023.'

United confirmed a few positive changes to its frequent flyer program in mid-February 2022.

'We're lowering the number of Premier qualifying points (PQP) and Premier qualifying flights (PQF) you need to earn Premier status across all levels.

They're even lower than our standard requirements.

PQP earned from your eligible United MileagePlus® credit card — including the United Explorer Card — will now count toward Premier 1K® status.

And 'we automatically added PQP to your MileagePlus account based on the 2022 Premier status you reached at the end of 2021, making it easier to reach your 2023 Premier status goals.'

In addition to flying a minimum of 4 flight segments on United or United Express®, here's what else you'll need to qualify for Premier status through January 31, 2024, based on your travel activity in 2022

Unfortunately, face masks continue to be required for air travel.

Federal law requires all travelers age two+ to wear a face mask with no vents or openings that fully cover their nose and mouth. Travelers who aren't wearing their masks in the airport or onboard may be refused transport, be subject to fines, and could also lose their travel privileges on future United flights.

Moreover, masks must be worn in the airport, during the entire flight, and between bites and sips if travelers eat or drink.

Note: This is not a paid content post. We just enjoying flying on United!
